LABs I Can

LABs I Can

Design for Change began in 2009 at the hand of Kiran Sethi. It was the first international movement for change led by children with the aim of boosting early creativity to solve global challenges.

This year, three of our professionals are collaborating on the expansion in Spain that this educational entity – present in 30 countries – is developing thanks to the support of the Fundación Telefónica. In January, we integrated ourselves into their team of specialized facilitators, and during March and April we developed “Lab I Can” workshops in Barcelona and Valencia to train teachers in private, public or charter elementary, middle and high schools.

Each camp consists of two working days where they learn and practice the tools and techniques necessary to apply the “Feel, Imagine, Act, Evolve and Share” formula in their schools. In this way, through collective, participatory work and student creativity, a relevant learning process develops to solve challenges or conflicts significant to the students.

The participating schools share their emerging projects in the global “I Can School Challenge” platform as the final step in the process where they can upload their projects and showcase them at an international level.
